CME Mission:

The Geisinger Health System Office of Continuing Medical Education serves the needs of our integrated health care delivery system through enhancement of patient care. We deliver programs to support providers in primary care, medicine, pediatrics, surgery, psychiatry, obstetrics/gynecology, pathology and radiology. Participants include Geisinger Health System physicians, community and affiliated physicians, advanced practitioners, pharmacists, nurses and other health care givers.

The staff designs and provides conferences, seminars, workshops, Geisinger Health System Intranet materials and a jointly sponsored activity. We measure outcomes by assessing the use of disease management protocols, improvement in quality of care, improved employee performance and employee and patient satisfaction.

In addition, Geisinger provides many forms of credit including Pennsylvania State Nursing Association, Accreditation Council for Pharmaceutical Education, AAPA, APA, CLE, ADA, and ACSW, among others.
